Danny FloodAfter struggling to find employment out of college, Danny Flood instead decided to travel the world – and pursue a list of dreams that he’d written down on a piece of paper.

Five years later he’s still traveling and living overseas and Danny’s ready to tell his story — and I’m excited to explore exactly where this decision has taken him, and the work that he’s become inspired to produce.

Among a handful of his project, Danny is the founder of Open World Magazine, an online resource for travel, entrepreneurship and life hacking. And now he’s the author of his first book, Buy Your Own Island — the ultimate guide to breaking free and making your dreams reality.

Thanks for having me on the show! It was great chatting with you buddy.

Wow, I just listened to this episode and was blown away. There were several really powerful messages but what really resonated with me was the characterization of interdependence vs. independence. That’s a really great distinction that one might not understand until actually getting out there. Great show, great ideas…

Thanks Lisa! That’s a really thoughtful comment. It’s fun to probe my guests to get to the heart of their beliefs, why they’re doing what they’re doing. That seems to uncover ideas that are fun to explore, like this one. And I agree, really great characterization of those concepts.

Thanks Lisa for the nice comment. Nathaniel’s ability as an interviewer deserves a large part of the credit. He does a good job of listening, following the flow of the conversation, and asking questions that get the interviewee to open up.
