In 2014, I launched The Travelers, a podcast exploring how travel transforms us. Through my guests’ stories and questions from listeners, I developed a unique framework that combines travel and creativity to align identity, purpose, and action.

What level of fitness or adventurousness is needed for Holocene events?
At Holocene, you don’t need to be a hardcore adrenaline junkie or a triathlete to join our adventures. For the activities, we typically divide into smaller groups of 6-8 participants, organized by adventure level. Each day, you get to choose the level that feels right for you, ensuring a personalized and comfortable experience.
Our goal is to gently nudge you out of your comfort zone, encouraging growth and exploration, but never to overwhelm or scare you. Safety is always our top priority, and we make every effort to ensure you feel secure and supported throughout each adventure.
That being said, the best growth happens when you embrace the challenge. So expect to be encouraged to step outside your comfort zone!
What does the cost of your events include?
Holocene Adventures include membership in the exclusive Holocene community (a $1,500 value). This membership grants you access to a full year of engaging programming, including workshops, connection calls, monthly challenges, meetups, and more, designed to foster ongoing growth and authentic relationships.
For the Adventures themselves, all you need to do is make it to the designated starting point (usually an airport where we’ll meet you). Once you arrive, everything is taken care of—lodging, meals, activities, drinks, internal flights, and more—so you can fully immerse yourself in the experience without worrying about logistics. The only exceptions are your drinks tab, tips for staff, and any souvenirs you’d like to bring home.
From start to finish, Holocene ensures your journey is seamless, inspiring, and unforgettable.
Are your Adventures safe?
While there will always be risks involved within any genuine adventure, all of our activities are led by certified professional guides, in small groups of 6-8 people per guide. So you will always be safely looked after.
What else happens on a Holocene adventure?
While adventure is at the heart of Holocene’s experience, we still appreciate the value of leisure. Expect to have relaxed meals and a couple of hours of downtime each day to connect, catch up, or enjoy yourself in your own style.
Is there wifi access on these adventures?
Yes, although in very remote places, the speed of the wifi can be slow.
We strive to limit time spent online to the downtime portions of the day. This should give you a few hours, divided across each morning and afternoon, to connect with your team, provide assistance, and do what’s needed while maintaining focus on being present on your trip and connected to your fellow travelers.
Can I bring my spouse/partner/family/kids?
No. Unless your partner or kid is also an entrepreneur, he/she can’t join you.
We love family and partnerships and understand the power of traveling with them, but with them in attendance, your attention will be divided between the connections we actively facilitate between entrepreneurs and participants and wanting to spend time with your own people.
